The State Government has launched a new campaign which will attempt to lure cash strapped Brits to Western Australia by filling pubs across British and Irish cities with beach sand.

UK pubs will also have photos of WA’s best destination spots plastered on their walls, as WA is promising British workers better wages and sunny days all year round.

Manager of the Poms in Perth Facebook page Russell Burder told 6PR Breakfast the only thing that could deter Britain’s best, is the stereotype that ‘everything can kill you’ in Australia.

“The best is to tell them we won’t talk about Brexit, we won’t talk about Covid, the sun is out 300 days of the year, you get paid really well and your cost of living is probably about half of the UK,” Mr Burder said.
