The West Coast Eagles will be playing their first match simulation on Friday against Port Adelaide.

However, Jack darling will be absent from the sold-out game due to an ankle injury from last week.

West Coast Eagles general manager Gavin Bell told Adam Papalia on WWOS all the focus has been on training for the upcoming season.

“They’re a very united group,” said Mr Bell.

“They’ve had a really strong summer.”
