Thursday was a busy morning for firefighters battling two blazes across Perth.

The first fire broke out on Aurelian Street in Palmyra just before 3:00 am, a man has been taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment of minor burns and smoke inhalation.

In Bayswater, paramedics are treating another person for smoke inhalation as crews mop up a fire at a house on Grand Promenade.

6PR and Nine News reporter Ezra Holt told 6PR Breakfast the damages to both homes are significant.
