There are concerns school ovals around Perth aren’t being used, despite a critical shortage of football grounds for female games.

WA Football Commission board member Amber Banfield told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons clubs are turning away female players due to a lack of facilities.

Ms Banfield believes there is “a lack of integration between girls and boys at the moment.”

“We need to be really smart in the planning perspective.”
