It is getting increasingly harder for Perth residents to find bulk billing GPs with patients being slugged over $42 for a 15-minute appointment at some clinics.

Since 2018 there has been a 19 per cent decrease in the number of bulk billing clinics in Perth and a 6.3 per cent increase in the price of consultations at private clinics.

Cleanbill founder James Gillespie told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons it is not as simple as increasing the medicare rebate.
