Western Australia is in chronic need of skilled labour for the housing industry, a necessity to alleviate the critical housing shortage, according to experts.

Housing Industry Association of WA Executive Director Michael McGowan said they have been working closely with the State Government to incentivise people to the industry.

“If we never try to bring people into WA to try and help get through this problem, it’s just going to be the chicken and the egg,” Mr McGowan said.
