‘Overwhelming support’ for more sex education in schools
About 90 per cent of parents want more consistency in sexual education, according to new research.
Curtin School of Population Health Sexologist Doctor Jacqui Hendricks said it is unfortunate some schools had modern sophisticated sex education programs, while others avoided it entirely.
“The interesting thing is when a school does deliver sexual education, a lot of the time they will leave it until the last possible moment,” she said.
