Sixteen years after winning an Eagles premiership, football champion David Wirrpanda is returning to the football scene.

The former Eagle told David Mundy and Will Schofield on Friday Night Lights the “fire in his belly” has returned.

“I’m looking forward to getting back into the inner sanctum of footy again,” said Wirrpanda.

“It’s good to be around the club again.”
