The Australian Nursing Federation has said the state government has no plan to support wage increases or maintain the number of beds in WA hospitals.

ANF State Secretary Janet Reah told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings they had little faith the statements made by the McGowan Government on supporting hospitals will result in actual benefits to nurses and midwives.

“My question to the minister and the health department is, what are they going to do to guarantee that when a trigger is reached what are they going to do about it?” Ms Reah said.
