Defense review indicates need for radical changes
The recent Defence Strategic Review has proven the necessity of modernising Australia’s defense capabilities, according to experts.
Many have labelled the recommendations in the review as “overdue”, yet argue that the country is still underprepared to adopt them.
CEO and Chief Strategist of CMAX Advisory, Tyson Sara, told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings there were clear and significant lessons to be learnt from the review.
“We can’t afford to take that long to let the perfect be the enemy of good; we’ve got to get stuff into service faster and stop trying to modify and Australianize equipment that is actually perfectly good to go now,” Mr Sara said.
