‘A catastrophic failure of judgement’: Robodebt fallout continues
The Robodebt Royal Commission has released the final report over the controversial scheme, recommending civil and criminal prosecutions.
Bill Shorten, Government Services Minister, told Jamie Burnett on Perth Live, “I’ve spoken to people today and they feel vindicated, the Nation and it’s citizens were gaslighted for years by the previous government who said there was nothing wrong here…turns out the government was breaking the law…”
“The people of the front line of the public service were doing their very best and they were let down by their leaders but the scheme shouldn’t of seen the light of day…”
“The job of government is to help people, not to hurt people but they got it the wrong way round,” Mr. Shorten said.
