Brian Bwoga’s 22-month-old son choked on a grape, and even with his CPR training, he couldn’t save him—his son died in his arms.

He explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl how this tragedy is driving the charge to get portable airway clearance devices installed across the city and regional communities, in the same way defibrillators are.

“When my son was passing away, I carried his lifeless body and I remembered there was a defibrillator, so I ran towards a defibrillator, but as much as the defibrillator’s good, it was the wrong tool for the wrong job,” he said.
