AFL finally names new CEO
After a year of delays, the AFL has finally named a CEO to replace Gillon McLachlan.
Andrew Dillon – former league legal counsel and General Manager – is expected to make an announcement soon on the appointment.
Nine News sports reporter Mark Readings told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast it didn’t come as much of a surprise, but was slightly anticlimactic after a 12-month headhunt.
“A million dollars has been spent on consultancy to find a new CEO, and guess what? Andrew Dillon was about five metres away,” Mr readings said.
