AFL rocked by positive COVID -19 test result for Essendon’s Conor McKenna
AFL Chief Executive Gil McLachlan has confirmed that Essendon’s Conor McKenna has tested positive to COVID-19.
McKenna had spent the hiatus period back in Ireland with his family and was set to play in tomorrow’s clash against the Bombers after serving his 14-day quarantine period.
According to McLachlan – McKenna had returned five negative tests since his return from Ireland, before returning a “low rate irregularity” on Friday.
The positive test has resulted in the game between the Essendon and Melbourne being postponed, while all other games will be played.
