Tom Hanks has warned fans that an ad for a dental plan that uses his image is in fact fake and was created using artificial intelligence without his permission.

Brand Agency Perth Director Hannah Muirhead told Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live we need to learn how to spot deep fakes as there are much bigger risks than Tom Hanks’ reputation as a dental spokesperson.
