Airport union threatens strikes as safety dispute takes left turn

Airport firefighters could walk off the job within a fortnight as 13 of the country’s busiest airports are being placed at “extreme risk” due to a shortage of fire fighters, the union claims.
The threatened action comes after the Fire fighters Union says it’s obtained “leaked documents” proving the information.
United Firefighters Union Aviation branch Secretary Wes Garrett told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings they were extremely concerned by the lack of information on the subject.
In a statement, Air Services Australia dispute the union’s material were leaked internal documents, saying “UFUAV was involved throughout the TRA process and was provided with all documentation” which has been publicly available for almost a year.
