Albanese Government launches a further review into Scomo’s secret powers

The federal government will launch an inquiry into Scott Morrison’s secret portfolios.
The Solicitor General says the former Prime Minister Scott Morrison did not do anything illegal by secretly granting himself control over five portfolios, but he did “fundamentally undermined” responsible government by not being transparent.
Michael Pachi, 6PR National Political Editor told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live that the Albanese Government’s further inquiry will aim to establish a timeline to make sure Scott Morrison did not influence any decisions that could have legal ramifications.
“Albanese did say that the inquiry will not be run by politicians, it will be run by an imminent lawyer – who that is and how this inquiry will run remains unseen,” Mr Pachi told Oly.
“It’s all about putting the screws on Scott Morrison even further and no doubt it’s about trashing his reputation even further as well.”
“For Labor, they’ve got nothing to lose by holding this inquiry, it’s a bit of pay back lets be serious Oly.”
