Fremantle vice-captain Andrew Brayshaw has confirmed he has been playing the season with a knee injury.

The midfielder revealed on WWOS he has been having issues with the quad muscle over his knee cap which has been causing him discomfort but is now pain-free.

This comes after reports a suspected injury had been impacting his performance.

Brayshaw told David Mundy and Adam Papalia on WWOS  he has been working with medical professionals to improve his condition.

“Hopefully, I can keep improving throughout the season,” said Brayshaw.

“I want to be a real leader in the engine room… I want to lead by example.”
