The Albanese Government has announced a daring plan to reinvigorate the country’s ailing housing and construction industry, putting forward $3.5 billion towards fast-tracking the construction of 1.2 million homes.
But the continuing collapse of successive companies may prove an insurmountable obstacle to the goal.

Property Council WA CEO Sandra Brewer told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings there needs to be a comprehensive transformation of regulations and process to make the plan possible.
“I think everyone in the community would be delighted if that number was achieved, because if it was it was ensure that housing is available for everyone,” Ms Brewer said.
