Aussie values high on citizenship test agenda
The Australian Citizenship test is set to get another overhaul, a new 20-question questionnaire including Aussie value questions will put people to the test.
The Acting Immigration Minister, Alan Tudge, told 6PR Breakfast Australian hopefuls will be given a booklet to study and learn about Aussie life.
“We’re placing a greater emphasis on values-based questions, that’s the big change that we’re making today,” Mr Tudge says.
“And in part because we’ve got so many people today arriving from countries whose values are very different to what we have in Australia.”
