A review of Australia’s migration system has found the Federal Government urgently need to overhaul the visa system and increase the number of skilled migrants.

Australian Council of Trade Unions president Michele O’Neil told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live she is welcoming the overhaul.

“It’s good to hear a government realise we’ve got a broken system,” said Ms O’Neil.

“The migration system is not working… it’s a ridiculous system.”
