Aviation industry launch campaign against bad passenger behaviour
Airports and airlines are rallying together for a campaign calling on passengers to be better behaved while they are travelling.
The campaign, No More Carry On, has been sparked over an increase in abusive behaviour from patrons to airline and airport staff over COVID requirements.
Chief Executive Australian Airports Association, James Goodwin, said the amount of incidents on airplanes and at airports is increasing.
“Some airlines, It’s staggering, despite the fewer passengers flying, they have had an increase in the number of disruptive passengers,” he said on 6PR Breakfast.
“A 15 per cent increase across the board that we can tell in call outs for police assistance at the airports.
“We know people are stressed and anxious, but don’t take it out on the staff is the message here.”
