Forty years on, Dave Faulkner has lost none of the spark or panache which made the Hoodoo Gurus one of the most celebrated Australian bands of all time.

With the four-decade anniversary of  their debut album Stoneage Romeos fast approaching, the band are about to announce plans to head back on the road – a fact he is still surprised about.

You know, when we started out we had, we had no idea we’d even make a record,” Mr Faulkner said.

We just wanted to have some fun and write some songs and you know, amuse ourselves; lo and behold, we  got a record deal and made a record that people still like.”
