2024 WA Women’s Hall of Fame ‘Culture’ category Inductee Di Ryder OAM, was today’s guest on Backstories.

A Respected Noongar Elder, and former Australian Army Non-Commissioned Officer, Ms Ryder has dedicated her life to her country and community.

Ms Ryder told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons, “I learnt a lot from the army, and my parents work ethic and what they taught me growing up, was whatever you set your mind to you can do it.”

“I honestly believe we can make a huge difference to the community.”

“I think that’s the key to it, if we come together as a whole community, not just Aboriginal people, non-Aboriginal people, I think we can come together and make a huge difference to the community,” Ms Ryder continued.
