Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas has given “credit where credit is due” and commended the State Government on their handling of the Matilda’s upcoming foray into WA, but has asked why it isn’t being capitalised on more.

Mr Zempilas said he didn’t understand why all three upcoming games wouldn’t allow the biggest audience possible at Optus Stadium, nor why East Coast punters are arguin the games should be split between states.

“What would say to anybody who has that opinion is bad luck,” Zempilas said.
