Over one million Australians were glued to their TV screens last night to hear from a fallen footy star.

It had been a decade since Ben Cousins had spoken publicly, but he spoke with Basil Zempilas in a special documentary.

Steve Mills spoke with his Breakfast co-host about his interviews with Cousins.

“That is the life of somebody struggling with addiction and I got to see that firsthand,” Baz explained.
