A war of words has broken out between the City of Nedlands and the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation over the planned development of the oft-controversial hospital.

Five Nedlands councillors have shot down a plan to develop Green Space next to the site, accusing the Foundation of trying to commandeer the project.

Yet the Foundation’s chair Ian Campbell told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings Nedlands Mayor Fiona Argyle had lied to the public about their involvement.

“They’re taking a huge big spanner and jamming it into the gears of Perth Children’s Hospital; She has a lot of explaining to do. She should be embarassed,” Mr Campbell said.
