If you’ve got a box full of old toys sitting in the shed or attic, now might be the time to dust it off, if WA’s newest internet celebrity is anything to go by.

Ben Dawson – otherwise known as “Boy Racer Ben”  – is on the cusp of hitting the million-follower mark on TikTok, all through his love (or obsession) with Hot Wheels toy cars.

He told Gary Adshead all about how he’s managed to garner such a following after only 18 months.

“I’ve got a three-year-old son; I set up some cars and a track in the garage, and he got really excited about that. So did I, I guess,” Mr Dawson said.
