Beverage companies form pact to lower sugar in soft drinks

Have you noticed your soft drink tasting a little differently?
Australia’s largest beverage companies have upped their sugar reduction target to 25 per cent.
Geoff Parker, CEO of the Australian Beverage Council Limited, joined 6PR Breakfast said it was up to companies to determine how to reduce the sugar in their drinks.
“Some will reformulate existing products, some will maintain existing recipes with the same amount of sugar,” he said.
