‘Biggest play ever’: What Fremantle had to give up to get Luke Jackson

As the AFL’s Trade period moves into its final two days, the Dockers are now making a bid to land contracted Sun Jeremy Sun.
Fremantle landed their main target Luke Jackson yesterday, now eyeing Sharp to also return to WA and play on a wing left vacant by Blake Acres.
Paddy Sweeney told Gareth Parker that although they had to give up pick 13 and first-round selection for next year, it came with a big reward.
“I think it’s the biggest play the Fremantle Dockers have ever produced,” Paddy said.
“It’s the biggest off-season they’ve ever done,Â
“They’ve backed themselves in, they’re bold, and essentially it can be the pick which I think transforms Fremantle and makes them a little bit unpredictable as well.”
