‘Biggie Gate’: Rumour File reveals ‘extraordinary price’ for beer after pricing pickle

‘No Biggie’ told the John Hughes Rumour File that there was head scratching at the Coles online liquor department on Thursday when a carton of beer was being sold at the four cans price of $22.

The rumour correspondent said the advertising slip-up is ‘sure to cost Coles a pretty penny if they honour the mountain of orders that they received for Biggie Juice online.’

Tap PLAY to hear ‘No Biggie’s rumour earlier on Friday morning.

“They advertised 16 cans in cartons of a much-loved niche craft beer called Feral Biggie Juice for $22, when the price is usually four cans for $22,” Gareth Parker read.

The rumour was later confirmed on 6PR Breakfast with several calls to the program.

Caller Daniel said that his friends picked up on the mistake and ordered cartons of the beer.

“This Biggie-Gate saga has been disappointing,” he said.

“We came across it yesterday, so about 15 of us put through five cartons each,

It looked like it all went through, and then just all of a sudden, five minutes before it said we could pick it up, we all started getting cancellations…”
