‘Bizarre’ neo-Nazi parade shocks and outrages locals

Around 20-030 black-clad men parade down a one-lane country road: above them hangs a banner on which is written “Australia for the white man”.

Its the type of scene that seems shocking in a major city, let alone in the middle of regional Australia, but that’s where a great deal of the national Socialist Network’s support comes from.

Ballarat Community Alliance spokesperson Scott Davis told Gary Adshead the entire town was adamantly against such racist displays and were confused as to why the local police would seemingly approve the march by walking with them.

“I think a lot of questions have to be asked; if the police have said there’s no place for them in our society, why are they then escorting them through town?” Mr Davis asked.
