Nominations have opened for the seventh annual Telstra ARIA Music Teacher Award, and some of Australia’s most loved musicians are getting behind it.

Iconic blue-skivvied Wiggle Anthony Field has thrown his support behind the annual award, praising the magic that music educators bring to children across the country.

“I’ve seen firsthand some incredible primary school teachers out there that are inspiring children to own music so that they’ll have it for the rest of their lives,” Mr Field told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons.
