Boxing Day spending is set to ramp up this year despite the cost of living crisis.

General Manager of Karrinyup Shopping Centre, Trudy Cook told Chrissy Morrissy on 6PR Perth ‘Our identifier has come up with 7000 people here this morning from 8 o’clock.’

‘It’s calm as much as it’s very busy,’ Cook continued.

Over to the east of the Metro area, DFO Centre Manager, Leanne Smith told Chrissy Morrissy, ‘Boxing Day is our biggest trading day but we have extensive traffic management around out centre.’

‘We try and make it as seamless as possible but everyone needs to be a little bit patient on Boxing Day just due to the sheer amount of people that come to the centre,’ Smith continued.
