A call to make ambulance services free across WA sparked debate on Millsy at Midday on Friday.

Barbara Atkinson, from the Bullsbrook and District Country Women’s Association WA branch, says the current cost of calling an ambulance is beyond belief and is calling for a change to inadequate funding for regional sub stations.

“Calling an ambulance shouldn’t be a luxury and many people that we know won’t call one because they are afraid of the bill,” she told host Steve Mills on Friday.
