The Australian Organics Recycling Association is urging for a ban on specific items that frequently contaminate Garden Organics (GO) and Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) recycling streams.

It includes things like plastic fruit labels, bread seals, and Styrofoam packaging, which significantly affect the quality of compost and drive up production costs.

Australian Organics Recycling Association National Executive Officer says these contaminants are undermining the environmental benefits of organic recycling.
