Calls for fast food joints to be removed
Western Australian health authorities are calling for fast food joints near schools to be removed to improve children’s health.
The ministers want fast food joints to be at least 400m from schools and restrict opening hours.
Cancer Council WA Cancer prevention and research director Melissa ledger told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont it’s all about creating healthy habits.
“We to do everything we can….. to really restrict and reduce fast food outlets in our suburbs,” said Ms Ledger.
