Around 250 Kalamunda residents have gathered to protest a McDonald’s being built in the area.
6PR Perth Today host Simon Beaumont spoke to David Modolo, a Kalamunda councillor, who said residents’ concerns are many and varied.
“What’s the need for a McDonalds in this particular location?” he said.

Simon then spoke to Kalamunda Mayor Margaret Thomas about what the proposal must now do to move forward.
“I have no doubt that this would struggle to proceed if it went to council, but it’s not,” she said.
