The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia has announced new protocols for former nurses and midwives to re-register which will simplify the process.

This comes amid the state’s shortage of nurses and health practitioners continues to worsen.

Australian Nursing Federation WA Secretary Janet Reah told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live she wants the government to fund the re-registration process.

“We’re calling on the state government to just take that one step further and to fully fund the scholarship for the courses,” said Ms Reah.
