Canning Mayor calls for end to greyhound racing
Canning Mayor Patrick Hall has put his money where his mouth is ahead of his planned run for Federal politics in his stand against greyhound racing.
Mr Hall told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings the recent death of three greyhounds following a weekend race has pushed him to make a public statement about a topic he is passionate about.
“Surely we are way past betting on a pack of dogs running around a track, especially with the really concerning number of injuries,” Mr Hall said.
“It’s not up to me just to have an opinion… I’m looking for some leadership from the industry.”
