The car of the year has been revealed, and it points to a growing trend on Australian roads.

Carsales editor-in-chief Mike Sinclair told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast that the Kia EV6, a crossover car (in between an SUV and hatch), was the organisation’s top car, although he insisted the result didn’t mean electric cars were the answer for everyone.

“People are saying electric vehicle are the future… the future will be a bunch of different solutions for everybody,” he said about the range of cars now available in Australia.
