Two brothers driving in their Holden Commodore along Albany Highway have allegedly had their car smashed to pieces by a tow truck.

The mother of the two siblings Amy Johnstone spoke to 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead and said the tow truck driver was allegedly chasing a car towing job and ran a red light.

WA Police said the tow truck driver – a 57-year-old man – has been charged with reckless driving and is set to appear in court in October.

“The Holden Commodore is a complete write-off,” Ms Johnstone said.
