An eye-catching red truck emblazoned with the words ‘CCP says vote Labor’ has been spotted parked up at several locations around Perth.

The billboard features a picture of Chinese President Xi Jinping casting a vote in a ballot box.

6PR listener Helen spotted the truck on Mounts Bay Road this morning – just two days after a truck with similar signage was captured driving through the streets of Melbourne.

Later, the truck was brazenly parked outside Premier Mark McGowan’s family home in Rockingham.

“I’ve got the photos right here in front of me, and it looks completely legitimate to be honest with you here, Helen,” Oliver Peterson said on Perth LIVE.

“And as I zoom in, it says it’s authorised by Matthew Sheehan, Advance Aus Ltd.

“I don’t think this is an April Fool’s gag, I think this could be a legitimate political advertisement.”

The Australian Electoral Commission confirmed via tweet, the signage was authorised by conservative political lobby group Advance Australia.
