The City of Bayswater has recommended its council crackdown on where smoking venues can set up shop.

Bayswater wants the smoke shops to fall under a restricted premise license to prevent future construction near vulnerable locations such as schools and GPs.

City of Bayswater councillor Catherine Ehrhardt spoke with Oly Peterson on 6PRs Perth Live.

“There have been studies that children don’t actually see vaping as the equivalent of smoking,” Ms Ehrhardt said.
