The City of Fremantle has concerns with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development over delays in treating affected trees by the polyphagous shot-hole borer.

City of Fremantle councillor Ben Lawver believes the department should have to foot the bill and be reimbursed for removing its own trees after “protracted delays”.

“We should seek reimbursement from the state, so our ratepayers aren’t on the hook,” Lawver said on 6PR Afternoons.
