Class action sees $132 million payout over ‘poisoned’ water supply

The Federal Government has settled a class action taken against them over firefighting foam contamination across seven sites, including the Bullsbrook residential area.
But now the issue of how the $132 million will be split amongst the complainants has caused concern, considering there might be around 30,000 people on the list
Shine Lawyers Joint Head of Class Actions Craig Allsopp told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings there will likely be more benefits to residents than the initial court statement reveals.
“There’s been some estimates made about actual participation; if it plays out as we expect, Bullsbrook will get some decent compensation and it will make a difference to their lives,” Mr Allsopp said.
