Cleo Smith’s parents break their silence in 60 Minutes special
The parents of Cleo Smith will tell their story for the first time in a 60 Minutes special this Sunday night.
Reporter Tara Brown sat down with her mum Ellie Smith and stepfather Jake Gliddon to hear their harrowing ordeal last October, when Cleo disappeared while the trio slept in a tent at a campsite in WA’s north.
“They’re doing remarkably well in my non-professional opinion… but clearly living in the aftermath of that agonising ordeal,” she told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.
“As they describe it, it can be a rollercoaster. I think disbelief is still a massive part of what they’re dealing with; that they went through this, that they came through it, that they went to their lowest, and thankfully experienced their highest with the return of Cleo.”
