‘Climate Chaos’: How climate change is affecting the mental health of students
School students are reporting elevated stress and anxiety over the future of the planet and how climate change will impact their future.
One doctor has recognised this and is writing sick notes for students suffering from climate anxiety, giving them the day off school to attend climate change protests across the state.
Student activist Emma is one of those attending the protest and she told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the government is not doing enough to help the “climate chaos”.
“Our country… has the potential to be a renewable energy superpower,” she said.
“I still hold a lot of hope for the future.”
