There are concerns zero-alcohol drinks could be a gateway to alcoholic drinks.

Public health researcher at Flinders University, Nathan Harrison, says the drinks which can range from 0-0.5 per cent of alcohol content are regulated as soft drinks.

“We know quite a lot from existing research on alcohol that the more advertising that children and other young people are exposed to, the more likely they’ll be to drink down the track,” he told 6PR Afternoons.
