The man accused of running over Constable Anthony Woods in June has fronted court on a charge of murder.

Reagan Ainsley Chown, 23, has been accused of trying to drive away form a traffic stop, causing an incident that lead to Constable Woods’ death.

6PR Reporter Jake Battrick said the court date was timely, with the funeral for Mr Woods being held at Optus Stadium tomorrow.

“The service is closed tomorrow, but members of the public can head to Optus Stadium and watch a live stream if they’re that way inclined to pay their respects,” Mr Battrick said.
